Cronenberg's Red Cars Italy Presentation Postponed
Paola Cavallini would like to inform Cronenberg's fans in Italy that the meeting for the presentation of the Red Cars book and project in Rome, which was set for December has been delayed to next spring.

Edward Scissorhands Ballet
A dance adaptation of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands (1990) has opened in London's Sadler's Wells.

According to IMDB, it has become an unexpected hit, after ticket sales topped $1.8 million before its first night on Tuesday.

Paul Verhoeven Projects
Paul Verhoeven's new movie, Zwartboek (Blackbook) is scheduled for release in September 2006.

A cool guy by the name of Rob Jacobs, Paul Verhoeven on the set of Zwartboek (Blackbook) - August 2005 Paul Verhoeven on the set of Zwartboek (Blackbook) - August 2005 who served as an extra in the movie, was kind enough to share with the rest of us 120 big photos (1600x1200) that he took on the set, at the end of August.

Meanwhile, Verhoeven's next project has been announced: Beast of Bataan - A drama that chronicles the war crimes trial of Lt. Gen. Masaharu Homma, the Japanese officer in charge of the Bataan death march endured by American and Filipino prisoners of war in 1942 in the Philippines.

The Fountain (2006)
The Fountain (2006) Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain, which was scheduled for a 2005 release, has been postponed to 2006. Exact date is currently unknown.

A few days ago, Aronofsky told Ain't it Cool that he speculates that it will take "until the end of February or so" to complete all 200 VFX shots they have left to do.

The first teaser for the movie has been released last week and is available on Apple's site.

I Kill (2006) Rumors
Paola Cavallini refers us to an Italian article posted 2 days ago at cinematografo.it. She translated parts of it for us: Aurelio De Laurentiis
...Aurelio De Laurentiis confirms: If possible, it will be David Cronenberg the director of the thriller Io uccido (I Kill), written by Giorgio Faletti. Filmauro should be the production company. Cronenberg is now reading the second screenplay, written by Davide Ferrario, but his direction is submitted to his actual projects. If possible, says De Laurentiis, he will be the director, and he will decide the actors.
I think this should be treated strictly as a rumor at this point.
