Tim Burton and Jim Carrey are Teaming up
Tim Burton Jim Carrey According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Burton and Jim Carrey are in early negotiations for Believe it or not! - an action-adventure loosely based on Robert Ripley.

The movie will follow the exploits of Ripley, a sport cartoonist who ran out of ideas and turned to the world of the strange and unusual. Ripley became a larger-than-life personality in the '30s and '40s, well-known for going around the world looking for oddities and getting into adventures while doing so.

The script, by writers Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander (Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt, Man on the Moon) picks up with Ripley already well-established and searching globally for oddities with his friends, each of whom has a special ability.

The movie is currently scheduled for a late-2006 or an early-2007 release.
