George Carlin Dead at Age 71
George Carlin George Carlin, the dean of counterculture comedians whose biting insights on life and language were immortalized in his Seven Words you can Never Say on TV routine, died of heart failure Sunday. He was 71.

Carlin became known for his unpredictable performances and for pushing boundaries during his 50-year career.

Stan Winston Dead at Age 62
Stan Winston Legendary Special effects wizard Stan Winston, died Sunday at age 62 at his home in Malibu, California after suffering for seven years with multiple myeloma.

A spokeswoman reported that Winston died peacefully at home surrounded by family. It is not known if his work on Terminator 4 was completed before his death. A teaser for the film will premiere with The Dark Knight.

Winston won Oscars for his work in Aliens, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park and was nominated for Artificial Intelligence, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands, Predator and Heartbeeps.
